“Gather the Women to Pray”: She Loves Out Loud

SLOL.logo.date.gather.001.jpeg

For Vonette Bright, it was a vision, a word from God: Gather the Women to Pray.

Much of Vonette’s life had been focused on encouraging and inspiring and organizing prayer—across the US and around the world—for the fulfillment of the Great Commission and the needs of people. But as she approached her heavenly move, she asked God: How? Who? What will it look like?

She challenged her good friend Diane Strack, an Orlando neighbor, to go forward with it. But Diane had other commitments, and the vision waited. Until 2019, when Diane felt the nudge from God.

Diane said yes, and an amazing outpouring of God’s grace and blessing ensued. Look what all is happening:

A name: She Loves Out Loud is a beautiful call to God’s women to come together to pray and to really love with God’s love.

A date: February 15, 2020, with regular prayer leading up to it.

A plan: Women representing every state, every need, every culture would gather locally and virtually to beseech the King of Heaven for the healing of hearts, for the future of our children, that God would be honored in our country.

Amazing partners: Sheila Walsh, author and speaker, stepped up with expertise, vision and resources. Joining Diane and Sheila, representing some of the greatest needs in our nation, are:

Christa Lynn (Hope-abuse and trafficking survivor)

Priscilla Shirer (Friendship-race relations)

Megan Brown (America-military wives and servicewomen)

Carol Kent (Children, prodigals)

Melody Lovvorn (Marriage-porn, betrayal, hope)

Claire Culwell (Life—abortion survivor)

Abundant resources: A full studio, tech help, a website, a graphic designer, bandwidth, social media gurus, promotional help, interviews with major outlets, and much more!

So what will it look like? On February 15, there will be a nationwide livestreamed broadcast. We will worship together. Then each of the women mentioned above will introduce her topic, then lead in prayer, bringing together hopefully one million women—meeting in homes and churches and schools-- asking God for healing in lives and in our nation.

Leading up to February 15, lots of praying will already be happening. As groups begin to come together, they can be praying. Personal requests are being shared on our Facebook page. Every Wednesday on Facebook Live we have 12@12--12 minutes of prayer at noon on a different topic. (You can watch my session praying for prodigals here.)

What happens next? We are listening to God for how to keep us on our knees before him and how to really love out loud in our families, among our neighbors, in our communities, our nation, our world.

How can you be involved? You can check out our website, join our Facebook group and like our Facebook page. All of these will have ongoing updates, prayer opportunities, details on how to join in on February 15. And I would encourage you to gather a group to pray together beginning now, and on the big She Loves Out Loud day.

We believe God loves when His people pray. We know He gave the vision for this. So we are sure He will be listening—and responding—as we humbly come seeking Him and His amazing grace.

What about you? How will you Love Out Loud?
