Two months ago we launched my book, When You Love a Prodigal: 90 Days of Grace for the Wilderness. The first month was crazy and so exciting. Things slowed a little this past month, but I am about to do another interview in a few minutes.

I have traveled to Austin and Miami to launch, to Colorado to speak and interview, to Arizona to speak—and I’ve done many podcast, radio and TV interviews. I feel so encouraged that many hurting people are finding help and hope in this book.

For me personally, the best part has been to hear or read comments from those who are reading the book and being blessed by it. So I decided to share a few with you to bless and encourage you!

Sarah: Happy Book Launch Day, Judy Douglass! What a journey it has been, but this will bless so many! Thank you for giving yourself so freely with God's grace and love on every page!

Micheline: I am learning a lot from reading this book. What is unique in this book is that it talks to all cultures united in one concept: parent-God relationship. For me it was not a mirror of the prodigal son, but more the prodigal parents. Thank you Judy

Nancy: I've been reading Judy's book and it has such encouraging truths about God's love, not only for prodigals but for those who love them, too! Highly recommended for anyone! This book will be a blessing to many!

Laura: May this book get into the hands of those with prodigals...may it bless them from their head down to their toes and warm their hurting hearts. I love you Miss Judy...you have a gift of writing and are sharing your journey with the world! Spread the good news that God sees and runs toward our wayward prodigals and throws a party and has a feast!!!...I want to be at the table...

Carla: Brand new! My long-time friend Judy Douglass wrote this hope-filled, grace-filled devotional book for lovers of prodigals. If you have a prodigal--a loved one who is making destructive choices--and you are exhausted from worried waiting, take a few months to walk through this book with Judy. My favorite chapter is the one on grace, which begins with these words: “Our God has much experience loving prodigals--such as you and me and all of humanity.”

Jerry: This book encouraged me as I deal with a prodigal. Douglass explains how we can keep on loving, extending grace, praying, and thanking God. She candidly shares her personal growth since she began her journey as the parent of a prodigal. Whether your prodigal is a child, a relative or a friend, this devotional book will fortify your resources in prayer and perseverance. I have enjoyed reading it through, and plan to read it again as a daily devotional.

Maggie: My husband and I have been in ministry for 40 years, and are always seeking biblically rooted resources for individuals and families going through tough times. I am so thankful for this new book, which I’m recommending to everyone I know. The author writes out of such a depth of love and compassion, and I especially appreciate the Scripture we can use to pray for our loved ones who are wandering in far countries physically or spiritually.

Erik: Judy Douglass writes as someone who has walked the hard journey of loving a prodigal and clinging to Jesus while she did it. She writes honestly about the struggle, but with deep faith and hope in Christ. I don't have a prodigal myself, but this book made me think of those I know who aren't walking with Jesus--it gave me perspective and a deeper desire to pray and believe that God is at work in ways we can't see. If you need encouragement to keep moving toward the people in your life who are hard to love right now, especially those closest to you, this book is for you.

Christa: I cannot put this book down. My dear friend Judy Douglass just released it. To walk in the wilderness with God's love, grace, trust, rest, hope, prayer...Judy's words are wise, challenging and hopeful. Thank you for sharing your journey!

Meadow: Douglass’s book has been decades in the making—not just the dozen years she took to craft it, but through the living, learning and loving that make this book a must-read for anyone who has ever walked beside a child, friend or family members who have followed a dark and broken path.

Toni: JUDY!! LOVE YOUR BOOK! So encouraging. Thank you for the pearl in the pain!!!

Les: As parents of a prodigal child, the journey to unconditional love and forgiveness for Judy and Steve Douglass came in understanding God’s unfailing grace for their child . . . and themselves. Let this book of devotionals so honestly and beautifully written by Judy encourage and sustain you as you walk your path to bring your prodigal home. You don’t have to walk it alone.

Kathy: I am savoring this book, page by page❤️

Lesa: Thrilled to celebrate launch day for Judy Douglass’s When You Love A Prodigal. Subtitle: 90 Days of Grace for the Wilderness. I would add hope, too. “When you love a prodigal, you know about hope. It beckons. It’s fragile. It’s elusive. It’s cautious. But rarely does it give up.” Powerful hope-filled book!

Barbara: Judy’s authentic and gracious posture is so encouraging as page after page of this book she unfolds how the days and years of loving their prodigal continually brought her closer to the arms of a loving God who is always at work for the good of each of us. When fear, anguish and heartache can seem never-ending, I love how she points the reader to cultivate a thankful and surrendered heart that clings to a great and powerful God. A book that turns your eyes and hearts upward when circumstances can seem overwhelming. A must-read for any parent even if you don’t have a prodigal.

What about you? Have you read it? What would you say?

You could even write a brief review on Amazon, B&N or ChristianBooks—I would be grateful and blessed.
