I have just returned from Cru25 U.S. Staff Conference in Milwaukee. It’s surely the best gathering we have had in many years. (I have been to 28 conferences I think.)
Legacy pre-conference for staff over 60. A great time to remember, celebrate, and anticipate God’s continuing opportunities for us. I was interviewed about my current activities and about how I’m doing without Steve. I had hoped to have the recording for you, but it isn't ready. Hopefully it will be in my First Wednesday letter (see below).
Seeing, hugging, chatting with long-time and new friends. Time with my Women’s Resources team, who are located in six different locations, doing a variety of activities: Global Staff Women website, The Significant Project resources, Prayer for Prodigals ministry, Equipping for E-Ministry, Christmas Gatherings, You’re Not Alone. Fun to be together.
Hearing powerful messages from Cru leaders. God was honored, we were commended, exhorted, and challenged as we committed once again to pursue the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Wonderful times of worship.
We launched a book I have dreamed about for years: Her Calling, Our Legacy: Pioneer Women of Cru Vol 1.
This book tells the stories of women who were pioneers-in starting ministries, opening countries, and taking leadership. You’ll get to know the women better, see Cru in its beginning stages, and be inspired by God’s work in and through their lives to come help change the world!

I am so grateful for how faithful you and Steve’s and my many prayer and financial partners have been. I know that many of you have been with us for years, and have continued to pray and give for me as I have continued to serve with Cru.
My prayer request is that God will continue to provide what I need for continuing in ministry. Some of our special friends have retired or even moved to Heaven. Would you ask God to bring new people to join my team. And if you can, would you renew or increase your giving? And always, remember to pray. Even as I pray for you.
