Balloon Poppers
You know the type. You work hard to get all those balloons blown up. It’s going to be a great party. But some people seem to think it is their responsibility to pop balloons. They sit on them, squeeze them—or stick a pin in them! It’s like that with ideas too.So you have an idea. It’s a little out of the box, slightly risky. But you think it just might work.Along comes one of those self-appointed balloon poppers:"That's a crazy idea!"“Great idea, except…”“I have a better idea.”“No way can you pull that off.”Smash. Squeeze. And their favorite—just stick a pin in that idea.Talk about deflating. Those who blow up balloons are scarce it seems, while the world is full of balloon poppers. How much better when someone comes along and says, “Let me add some air to that idea.”God’s Word admonishes us:Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…(I Thessalonians 5:11) Encourage…hearts and strengthen…in every good deed and word. (2 Thessalonians 2:17)What balloons can you help blow up today? c2011 Judy Douglass
