Metamorphosis
“I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see…”“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…”“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.”“The Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”So much change, such transformation is offered us in Scripture: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)In our ministry we have used the analogy of metamorphosis to describe this new life we have in Christ: “My life was once like an ugly hairy worm, crawling in the dirt. That caterpillar wraps itself in a cocoon and a beautiful butterfly emerges. When I am in Christ, He gives me a beautiful new life."This video from the Chicago Nature Museum shows in detail the amazing life cycle of the monarch butterfly. Yet it barely touches on the incomprehensible transformation God desires to do in us.You will love this: Life Cycle of the Monarch ButterflyWhat about you? How has God been changing you?
