Sweet Memories: Corrie ten Boom and Edith Schaeffer

Just like you, my life has been filled with many happy events, opportunities and relationships. And, just like you, I have had my share of challenges.I have learned to be grateful for those challenges, and I am deeply grateful for the calling God has given me, for the work I have been able to do and for the people I have encountered.

Yesterday I discovered two photos I had long forgotten—photos of two women who greatly impacted my life.

Corrie ten Boom’s faith and faithfulness in the face of unfathomable pain and loss continues to inspire me to trust God in all things. I was privileged to interview her for the Worldwide Challenge Magazine.

Edith Schaeffer gave me a powerful vision of God at work in lives, families and generations through her many books that I read. And I was privileged to host her at a gathering for women at my home in the 1970's.
