Prodigal Prayer Day Wrap Up

We did it.

We completed our 21st annual Worldwide Prodigal Prayer Day. Thank You, Lord.

We have received more names to pray for than in any previous years, and names are still coming in. Thank You, Lord.

We know of many praying in small groups, and a few larger groups. I loved our two groups—one a small in-person time, and another a group of 20 online. Thank You, Lord.

We know of attacks from the enemy: illness, internet connection issues, family emergencies. Thank You, Lord.

And we know of one immediate answer to prayer: "After the prodigal prayer day, our son connected with us again after 3 months! We spent 4 hours visiting with him. Praise the Lord!" Yes, Thank You, Lord.

As you can see, I have been practicing our theme: Give Thanks. In everything. May it become a way of life for each of us.

Let me just share a few prayers you can continue to pray for your own loved one, and for the names on the list:

From Scripture: Jeremiah 24:6,7: My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them. I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

One I pray often: Break down the strongholds of the enemy of his soul. Hear and answer our requests on his behalf as we resist Satan and rebuke his demons. May our loved one grow weary of his chains and imprisonment and turn to You, asking You to give him liberty. Set him free.

Ask God to: Give him a deep sense of how valued, loved, special, accepted he is to Jesus; and that he was created for very high purposes that are far more exciting and challenging than anything he can create himself.

Ask God to: Put a hedge of thorns around her, to keep her from going her own wrong way and to protect her from the evil one.

Bless your prodigal: May you know that you have been rescued from darkness and brought into the light of the Son.

Bless your prodigal: May God comfort you in the pains and losses of your life.

Bless your prodigal: May you know and choose the good plans God has for you.

May you keep on giving thanks as you wait.
