I love God’s creativity—certainly in the beauty and diversity of His creation, and especially in the how He has made every one of us unique and different for his specific purposes.
We just finished writing Volume 2 of Her Calling, Our Legacy: Pioneer Women of Cru. My teammate Carolyn West has managed the whole process. We have worked closely together to engage women from around the world, line up writers for each story, give direction, edit, proof.
And oh, how encouraging and inspiring to read each story, to follow the courage, the trepidation and boldness, of these women from around the globe. They persisted even in hardship and danger, and then to see new followers of our Lord, yielding their lives to Jesus.
If you regularly read this letter, you know one of my callings/passions has been to open doors for women to serve well with their gifts. So it brings me great joy to introduce people around the world to these daughters of God who have said, “Here am I, Lord. Send me.”

Celebrating 75 Years--#1
Cru/Campus Crusade for Christ is entering into several months of celebration of our 75 years since God called Bill and Vonette Bright to launch a movement on college and university campuses to help reach the world with the love of Christ.
I am fast becoming one of the true old timers as one by one those who came before me have been called Home. I joined student staff at the University of Texas in 1964, and full time in 1966. I expected to be assigned to a campus—to win, build, and send college women. But God had another plan.
My major at UT was journalism and my desire was to become a magazine writer and editor. At New Staff Training, Dr. Bright called me into his office. (Was I already in trouble?) Not at all. He asked if I would be willing to come to HQ at Arrowhead Springs to work on a magazine that would be used on all the campuses. Of course, I said yes. For the next nine years I edited two magazines and helped Bill Bright write resources and books. Such a gift—for me, and I hope for others.

In the dawn of the internet, Marilyn Adamson had joined CCC staff. She wanted to tell the world about Jesus. She began to envision that this new “internet” could help. She started writing articles and stories to draw people to the Lord. In 2000 she launched.
From that initial vision, EveryStudent.com has gone global.
First the Scripture: Daniel 2:20-22 "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belongs wisdom and might...he gives wisdom...knowledge...he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in darkness and the light dwells with him."
“You can't overstate the value of this,” Marilyn says. “In our shadowed challenges, go to God who will give us the wisdom and knowledge we need. As Ron Dunn said, ‘God will always give you all that you need to accomplish his will.’”
Tremendous Results
In 2025, God led a little more than:
- 91 million people to EveryStudent.com sites (various languages)
- and 3,893,963 people indicated they received Christ.
In the first half of 2026 (Jan-June):
- 97 million people have come to the sites,
- and 3,008,018 people have indicated they received Christ.

Back on the farm
Josh and his family must not have had enough animals—goats, pigs, four dogs…so they purchased a guard dog puppy…and adopted three orphaned kittens. And the kids rescued an injured Monarch butterfly, who seems to be surviving.
