More Words from God--with Guest Art
When I posted my first post of the year--"My Word(s) for 2014", and then a week of looking at the Word on the Word--"Some Words for your Day," my friend Melinda Horsey, a true creative, sent me a photo. When I asked if I could use it, she sent me nine to choose from. So here is the one I chose, and here is what she says about it: "The picture is of my breakfast nook where I get the most out of words - the scripture, books from authors that perfectly encourage the process of growth and the words I use as I try to write out my thoughts."
You can see more of Melinda's work at her website and follow her on Twitter @MelHorsey.
And now, another week of meditating on what God says about His Word. May you be blessed.
"For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does." (Psalm 33:4)
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35)
"By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth." (Psalm 33:6)
"Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown." (Mark 4:20)
"The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng…" (Psalm 68:11)
"For no word from God will ever fail." (Luke 1:37)
"How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word." (Psalm 119:9)
Most of these are familiar friends, but I don't remember seeing Psalm 68:11 before. I love that the women who proclaim His Word are a mighty throng.
What about you? Which verse especially speaks to you today?
