August 2025 - Back Together Again
Cru25: Milwaukee, WI
There were five of us seated at the 60-years-on-staff table celebration at the end of Legacy pregathering before the Staff Conference in Milwaukee. Bob Horner, our seemingly forever emcee, interviewed me—what I’m doing and how I’m doing without Steve. (I hope I will be able to get it to you soon.)
The main conference was a welcome delight: Seeing, hugging and chatting with friends. Wonderful worship. My Women’s Resources team stayed busy—doing seminars, promoting materials, talking about books. All reminding us of our calling to Help Fulfill the Great Commission.
The main messages were so good—powerful and inspiring.
Josh McDowell Ministry
Becomes Sightline
Josh and Dottie McDowell have been close friends of mine for many decades, and special friends to my son, Josh. Of course, to most people Josh has been a powerful writer and speaker, taking the love of God all over the world.
For some time, Josh has been mentoring and platforming others in his ministry and has felt it was time to broaden the ministry focus to include others’ writing and speaking. So in October, you will see Josh.org become Sightlineministry.org.
I’m Giving Away Books
Last month I introduced you to our newest book: Her Calling, Our Legacy; Pioneer Women of Cru Vol. 1. People at Staff Conference were so excited about it. You can order by scanning or clicking the QR code below:
We also promoted Beyond: Create a Life You Love After 50, 60, 70 and More. You can order by scanning or clicking the QR code below:
Plus, I am giving away two of each. To enter the drawing, reply to this email and indicate which book(s) you would like to be in the drawing for.
Time with My Alabama Family
Michelle and her boys arrived in Orlando shortly after I returned from Milwaukee. We spent a lot of time relaxing at home.
Then, rather than spending a day and a fortune at one of the theme parks, we spent half (of a very hot) day at Disney Springs. We parked on the wrong side of our destination, but finally made it to the Lego Store.—The boys each picked out a project to work on back at the house and one for each of their local cousins!!
Our next excursion was several hours at Sky Zone, a remarkable trampoline park. They wore themselves out in several hours of non-stop jumping. Michelle and I enjoyed watching.
They still had energy to continue with time on the pool table. We closed out their visit at Rolled Ice Cream—they got to help prepare their choices.
My Kids and Their Kids Clean Up Well
Josh, Lesley and Family on Easter Sunday.
Brad, Michelle and Boys at a Recent Family Wedding.
Nick, Debbie and All after a Graduation.
May I pray for you?
I’ve been intentionally spending more time in prayer lately—for myself, my team, my family, and you!! If you have specific requests, just reply to this letter and I will know better how to pray.
With love and blessings,
Judy
